Obituary for Janice G. Sullivan (Sullivan)
JOHNSTOWN - Janice G. Sullivan, 80, of West Fulton Street, died peacefully on Dec. 20th at St. Johnsville Nursing Home in the company of her loving and faithful family. Born in Scotia, NY on January 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Sullivan and Florence Sullivan Deyo. Jan enjoyed spending time with her long time friend, Richard Remington, her Mom, grand children and daughter. In her spare time she enjoyed creating many hand - made items which she often shared as gifts with her family and friends. Janice’s family wishes to offer heartfelt thanks to the St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Center's Staff and Administrators for their thoughtful and attentive care over the 5 years while she resided there.
Survivors include her daughter Kathleen and husband William Dessingue Jr. of Schaghticoke, grandchildren Nicole Dessingue, Michael(Erica) Dessingue and Daniel Dessingue, sister in law Marge Sullivan and her nephews Michael, John and Paul Sullivan.
Janice was predeceased by her brother Phillip Sullivan, nephew Pat Sullivan and Richard Remington.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with burial in the family lot at Maple Shade Cemetery, Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Janice in a special way are asked that memorial contributions be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in her memory.
