Obituary for Rosalind F. Carr (Taglione)

MOREAU - Rosalind “Gram” Carr, 93 previously of Stillwater, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018, following a brief illness. Born August 18, 1925, in Mechanicville, daughter of the late Louise and Rose Taglione. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Felix Talgione and her husband Frank I. Carr, the love of her life, whom she spent 50 years with after traveling cross country to Pacific Grove, California at age 18 in 1943, to be married.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Frank (Sue) Carr and her daughter Mary Laurenzo (David Massey) along with her grandchildren Frankie Carr, Lisa (Al) Velletri, John Carr, Michael (Brooke) Laurenzo, Frank (Crystal) Carr, Nicole (Billy) Hall, Leah (Cliff) Howe, David (Amy) Massey, Luke (Emmi) Massey as well as 13 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked many years at the Korell Co, in Mechanicville. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling and the many trips to Yankee Stadium; she was a huge fan of the Yankees and Derek Jeter.
Coming out of retirement she also spent many wonderful years working at Stillwater Central School, where she was lovingly referred to as “Gram” by the students, until her second retirement at age 84.
A special thank you to her family and friends for all of their love and support.
Memorial services and burial will be private, in the spring, at the convenience of the family.
