Obituary for Sharon Ann Watson (Sisto)

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Sharon A Watson, 71, of Louden Rd and longtime resident of Mechanicville, passed away Friday, November 16th at the Gateway House of Peace, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, August 5, 1947, daughter of the late Louis and Mildred Sisto, Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Sharon worked as a secretary for the NYS Office of the Attorney General in Albany for 37 years before retiring in 2002. Shortly after retirement, she and husband Richard began wintering in Ft. Meyers, FL where she enjoyed her time in the sun. They also spent many nights singing karaoke and while home enjoyed prime time television.
Sharon loved her family and her triplets were truly her life. She became a 2nd mother to their many friends during their high school years and has basked in the glory of being grandmother to 8 cherished grandkids.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Richard Watson, whom she married on October 5th, 1973 also her caring triplets: Amanda(Jennifer) Merrix of Latham, Christina(Michael) Klebieko of Clifton Park and Richard(Heather) Watson of Hiram, GA, grandchildren Samantha Woods, Sarah and Nicholas Watson, Amelia Klebieko, Karyn Watson, Blake Woods, Alexander Fratine and Ella Watson. Siblings: Ann Leonard(Joel DePeaux) of Mechanicville, Louis(Lynne) Sisto of The Villages, FL and John(Diane) Sisto of Stillwater and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was also surrounded by endless support from the Watson and Sisto families as well as many dear friends.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 11AM-1PM at the All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 No Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. A prayer service will be held at 1PM at the church with inurnment to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Gateway House of Peace, 479 Rowland St, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 to support the unending support given by them to those in need.
