Obituary for Roberta M. "Bobbie" Curto (Julian)

MECHANICVILLE - Roberta “Bobbie” M. Curto, 89, passed peacefully into the hands of our Heavenly Father on October 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by Nicholas A. Curto, Sr., her devoted husband of 50 years. Roberta was a lifelong resident of Mechanicville, New York and formerly wintered many years at their home in Biscayne Park, Fla.
She was born in Little Silver, New Jersey and graduated Manasquan School where she pursued her degree in bookkeeping and business administration. Bobbie assisted with the American Red Cross and USO during WWII, and was a partner with her husband in Curto Jewelers, Mechanicville, New York for more than 30 years.
Roberta was most proud of her family’s accomplishments and doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed their company immensely. She was at her best making everlasting memories surrounded by her family at major holidays and the children’s birthdays. Bobbie was a member of the Court of St. Paul, Catholic Daughters and a lifelong communicant of St Paul’s Church.
She is survived by her children, Nicholas A. Curto, Jr., {Anne (Renzi) Curto} Schaghticoke, New York, Celeste A. Benoit, {Robert Benoit}, Saratoga Springs, New York, Arthur F. Curto, {Deborah (Miranda) Curto}, Clifton Park, New York, Denise F. Miller, {Michael Miller}, Mechanicville, New York and Anita M. Jesmer, {Mark Jesmer}, Bridgeport, West Virginia. She is additionally survived by her 13 grand and 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews both in New York and New Jersey.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the professional and caring staff of Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home, Clifton Park, New York and to the St. Peters Community Hospice nursing staff.
Calling Hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, Mechanicville, NY will be on Thursday, Nov 1st from 4 - 7PM. A Mass of the Christian Burial at All Saints on the Hudson South Church (St Paul’s), 121 N Main St, Mechanicville on Friday, Nov 2nd will begin at 10:30AM. A private interment service for family and relatives will follow at St Paul’s Cemetery, Mechanicville. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, or St. Peters Community Hospice.
