SARATOGA SPRINGS - Michele Denise Russo, 65, of Jefferson St, passed away in the comfort of her home on September 7, with her loving and faithful family at her side. Born in North Adams, MA on May 27, 1953, daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn Lescarbeau, she was a graduate of St. Paul’s Parochial School and later Catholic Central High School in 1971.
She continued studies at Maria College to become an RN and then at Russell Sage College where she earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in nursing, eventually becoming an Adult Nurse Practioner. She worked in health care all of her adult life with Leonard Hospital, General Electric Power Systems, Corporate Health Dimensions and lastly for Saratoga Hospital’s Employee Health at Global Foundries, where she spent her last 10 years working.
Michele enjoyed traveling, the times she spent at her condo in Surfside Beach, SC and most of all, the times she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Richard “Rick” Russo, whom she married on Sept 21, 1974, daughter Rebecca(Carl) DeCesare of Baldwinsville, NY, son Mark(Mary Beth) Russo of Holly Springs, NC, grandchildren Mikayla and Brendan DeCesare, Bennet and Avery Russo, sisters Kathryn Norris, Jacqueline Sommer and Bridget Player and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 12th from 4-8PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in The Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 at 10AM on Thursday, September 13th with interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
