MECHANICVILLE - Lucy F. Busone, 87, a lifelong resident of Mechanicville, died Thursday, Aug 23rd at Wesley Health Care, Saratoga Springs, after a brief illness.
Born in Mechanicville, June 9, 1931, daughter of the late Anthony and Vincenzia Talerico Bruno, Lucy was a homemaker, who years ago worked for Korell Dress Co.
A women who loved to cook and bake for family and friends, she also enjoyed crocheting, and visiting with others.
The first woman president of the Italian Fraternal Society in Mechanicville, she was a sports fan of the NY Yankees, Syracuse basketball and a Tiger Woods golf fan.
She was a member of Assumption-St. Paul Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years James H. Busone, who died in 1996, also her two sisters Mena Perren and Rosemary Provancher.
Survivors include her daughters Michelle Lavazzo (Thomas) Davis and Gisele Busone both of Mechanicville and son Vincent Busone of Ohio. Grandchildren Jamie and Vincent Lavazzo, Cara Busone, Anthony Garrison, Heather White and Chad Viall, great granddaughter Natalie Marie Lavazzo, along with several other grand and great grandkids and nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal services and no calling hours. Services at convenience of family.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
