STILLWATER - Joyce Fisher Mondoux, 77, of Stillwater, NY, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 10th, with her family by her side.
Joyce, daughter of Ray and Geraldine Hindes, grew up in Gloversville, NY with her brothers and sisters, Gerald Fisher, Barbara Edel, Robert(Marilyn)Fisher, Ray(Yvonne)Hindes, and Diane Crabbe. Upon graduation, she moved to Albany, graduated from Albany Business College, and began working in a bank where she met, Marvin, her love and best friend of 54 years. Together they began a life in Stillwater, NY with their three children Vicki (Kevin) Schuette, Michael (Shelbie) and Mark. Their family grew to include their grandchildren Kevin, Kaitlin, Ryan, Kelsey and Zachary and great granddaughter Tayler. Joyce will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Marlene, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Not only will she be remembered as wife, mom, grandma, nanny, sister and aunt, but by many as caregiver, protector, family photographer, organizer, baker, driver, seamstress, coach, nature lover, camper, game player, and devoted friend. She always sent a card, made a call and texted and FaceTimed when she learned how those worked, and Joyce never forgot a birthday or anniversary.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark, grandson Kevin, brother Gerald, in-laws Alphonse and Clarisse Mondoux, brothers-in-law John, Paul, Michael and John and sister-in-law Shirley.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 4-7 Pm at All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Peter’s) 895 Hudson Ave, Stillwater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints on the Hudson, Hudson Ave, Tuesday Morning at 9 AM. Burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
