Obituary for Annette Verdile (Ravena)

MECHANICVILLE - Annette Verdile, 86, of William St, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, August 3rd, with her loving and faithful husband and children by her side. Born in Ballston Spa, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ravena, she was a 1950 graduate of Ballston Spa High School.
A proud homemaker all of her life, she cherished the time caring for her children and home. She was a former Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout pack leader. She enjoyed reading, collecting dolls and was a huge Lawrence Welk fan. An active member of Assumption-St. Paul Parish, she attended and volunteered for many of the churches’ activities.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Nicholas J. Verdile, whom she married on May 25, 1952, her children Nicholas(Carol) Verdile of Naples, FL, Cheryl(Nicola) Vacchio of Mechanicville and Mark(Dina) Verdile of Rexford, grandchildren Nicholas(Trisha) Verdile, Meredith(Bill) Kennedy, Jonathan Melcher, Anthony and Ava Verdile, great grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia, a brother John Ravena of NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Arthur, Steve, Joe, Patrick, Florence and Tilly.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 7th at 9 AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow in Saratoga National Cemetery.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville on Monday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in loving memory of Annette Verdile.
