Obituary for Madeline Robens Higgins (DiFucci)

Madeline  Robens Higgins (DiFucci)
MECHANICVILLE - Madeline Robens Higgins, 82, of N 7th Ave, died in the comfort of her home on July 29th, with her loving and faithful family by her side. A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, she was born May 10, 1936, daughter of the late John and Lena Smeragliuolo DiFucci and was a 1954 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Madeline worked as a receptionist and auction clerk at Manheim Auto/Northway Auto Exchange in Clifton Park for over 25 years. She had also previously worked for NY Telephone and NYS Department of Taxation and Finance. She was a member of the Junior Dante Club and a lifelong parishioner of the All Saints on the Hudson parish.
Madeline was predeceased by her husbands Harry J. Robens in 1976 and Thomas J. Higgins in 2013 as well as her siblings Rose Miller and Ben DiFucci.
She is survived by her children Joe Robens of Weston, FL, Laurie (Thom) Tyrrell of Waterford, Shaun (Grace) Robens of Clifton Park, Michael (Judy) Higgins of Glenville, Meg Overocker (Gary Warren) of Delmar, Peter (Gina) Higgins of Stillwater, Tim (Theresa) and Joe (Karen) Higgins both of Mechanicville. Also grandchildren Salina and Maddy Tyrrell, Katie (Chris) Plume, Amity and Adam Higgins, Ryan Overocker (Savannah Buanno), Shaina (Steve) Salomon, Reid, Abby, Maggie, Kelsey, Eamonn, Skyler and Ashley Higgins and great grandchildren Emelia Grace Salomon, Hudson and Declan Plume as well as nieces, nephews and their families.
Madeline’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to her caregivers: Donna, Cathy, Holly, Maryellen M, Dee, Jackie, Maryellen K for their devotion and the care and compassion showed to her over the past year.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 6:15PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville, with entombment to follow in St. Paul’s Mausoleum.
Calling hours at the Church prior to mass on Thursday from 3 to 6PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or the American Diabetes Association, 5 Pine West Plaza, Suite 505, Albany, New York, 12205 in memory of Madeline Robens Higgins.
