Obituary for Kenneth W. Marshall

STILLWATER - Kenneth W. Marshall, 58 of County Route 70, died Sunday morning, June 3rd, at home in the safe company of his family.
Born in Troy, Oct. 25, 1959, son of the late John Marshall and Roberta Whinney, Ken was a 1978 grad of Stillwater Central School.
For the last 28 years, Ken has been a truck driver for the Saratoga County Highway Dept, operating heavy trucks and snow plowing during winter weather.
For his whole life, Ken was an avid farmer working on various farms in the local area, pushing his tractor along, getting the job done. He also operated the popular Moe’s Veggie Stand on the south end of Saratoga Lake, for the last 15 years providing local grown vegetables to all his faithful customers.
A life member and past president of Saratoga Lodge # 2586 Fraternal Order of Eagles, a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion of Stillwater and the Arvin Hart Fire Dept., Ken enjoyed shooting for big-time prizes playing raffles, lotto and scratch offs.
Survivors include his love and life companion of 40 years Morine Talmadge, his proud son Kenneth “Mack” Marshall, his step-mother Marie Minick Marshall of Mechanicville, brothers Steven (Eunice) Marshall of Stillwater, Randy Marshall of Coxsackie, sister-in-law Sheila Marshall of Galway, step-brothers Mark (Karen) Minick and Michael Minick, and in-laws Heath (Laura) Talmadge of Hudson Falls, along with nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brother William “Billy” Marshall and step-sister Michele Simoncavage.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in Quaker Springs Cemetery
Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to either Arvin Hart Fire Dept. of Eagles Aerie Lodge #2586 in memory of Ken Marshall.
