HALFMOON - Kathleen M. Soloski, 75, of Tabor Rd, died peacefully on May 30th at Ellis Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Troy, September 25, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn Byrne Foley. In addition of her parents she is predeceased by her husband, the late Alexander Soloski.
A graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Kathy was the Shenendehowa School District tax collector for most of her career. She officially retired back in 2010; however, she continued to help out with the district up until last tax season. She was a hard worker all of her life and retirement just did not suit her well.
Kathy enjoyed reading, traveling and family. Although never having children of her own, she loved her nieces and grandnieces and grandnephews like they were her own kids, and they in turn returned the love. She was blessed to have such great loving relationships with them all. A very loyal person, Kathy always had her family’s back no matter what.
She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church, Round Lake.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her siblings Jack Foley and Connie Foley who aside from being her sister was also her very best friend.
Survivors include her sister Maureen Capone of Saratoga Springs, niece Sharon(Peter) Noradki and her family, John, Bridget and Billie Jean Noradki, niece Colleen Scavone and her son Jason Scavone and great great nephews Peter, Andrew, Stephen, Jack and Jacob. Her large extended family was the world to her and she will be missed sorely by them all.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 4th at 9 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, NY with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa NY, 12020 in memory of Kathleen M. Soloski.
