Condolence From: Chip Cayer
Condolence: I've worked for SPAC since 2012, and as a new guard was sent to work backstage, which you can imagine can be quite hectic and overwhelming. As I worked my post near the loading dock, hoping to do everything right, Coach came over to me and patted me on the back and told me I was doing a good job. At the time I didn't know that we had a local crew, and thought he was with the Dave Matthews Band. When I saw him at the next show, things became clearer. He was the first person to say something nice to me there, and always had a kind word for me and everyone else he ran into. I've missed him since he retired, and now will think of him fondly every time I go to work backstage. It's not the same without him. He and his family and friends will be in my prayers.
