Obituary for Gail Mary Carson (Durocher)

MECHANICVILLE - Gail M. Carson, 73, of West St., Riverside, died Tuesday, Feb 27th at her home, after a long illness, in the loving company of her family.
Born on Montreal, Canada April 16, 1944, daughter of the late Eric and Helena Durocher, Gail last worked as a cafeteria aide for the Stillwater Central School District for 15 yrs. Previously she had been a secretary for the former Tagsons Paper Co.
She enjoyed the thrill of riding backseat on a Harley Davidson cycle, loved cooking for family and friends, partying and dancing with friends, but most of all, she reached out to anyone who needed help in their lives, caring for the less fortunate.
Her husband Donald J. Cason died many years ago.
Survivors include her daughter Amanda Gail Carson of Mechanicville, son Cory Robert Carson of Albany, grandson Hunter Martin Dumphy, her partner and soul mate for over 40 years Martin Bruno. Siblings Marilyn and Jon Durocher both of Montreal, along with a number of neighbors and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Leo Durocher.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Monday, March 5th from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society.
