Obituary for Leisetta Sally Bochette (Rodriguez)

STILLWATER - Leisetta “Sally” Bochette, 93, entered into Heaven on January 28th at The Eddy Heritage House, Troy, after a short illness. Born in Stillwater on November 20, 1924, daughter of the late Marion and Charlotte Smodell Rodriguez and wife of 51 years to Edward S. Bochette who died on April 15, 2001, she was a 1940 graduate of Stillwater High School.

Sally was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Stillwater United Church presbyterian church(formerly Schoonmacher Memorial Church) who taught Sunday School, was a church Elder and former Deacon, sang in the choir, and was a former President of the Women’s Association. She enjoyed reading, knitting and most of all, loved socializing with her “millions” of friends and family.

Survivors include her two loving sons and their wives, David and Bernie Gully Bochette and Bruce and Gloria Cavoli Bochette, her grandsons and wives Anthony and Blake and Nicholas and Megan Bochette, the four young ladies who completed her life’s journey, great granddaughters Lainey, Callie, Scarlett and Tessa, sister in law Marie Bochette Price and sister in law Jeanne Bochette and many nieces and nephews. Sally also enjoyed her wonderful extended family; the Gully’s and Cavoli’s who affectionately knew her as Gramma Sally.

The Bochette family would like to thank some very special people in her life; niece Margaret Hipwell, Marge DeKeado, Heather Smith, Carol Krajewski, Linda Gully and MaryEllen and Cathy Baker, who always treated Sally like a second mother.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was predeceased by her brother Marion Rodriguez, sister in law Rita, niece Jannie Garrant, sisters in laws Florence, Philomena, Carmina, Louise, Rose, Tressa and Bertha, and brothers in law James, Salvadore and Louis.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7PM at the Stillwater United Church, 747 Hudson Ave, Stillwater, NY 12170. A Funeral Service on Friday at the Stillwater United Church will be held at 11AM with burial to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Those wishing to remember Sally in a special way can make contributions to the Stillwater United Church, 747 Hudson Ave, Stillwater, NY in her memory.
