Obituary for Primar A. Palmer

Primar A.  Palmer
MECHANICVILLE - Primar A. “Bunny” Palmer, 97, of Stillwater Ave., died Sunday, Jan 14th at Saratoga Hospital, after a brief illness.
Native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, born April 6, 1920, son of the late Louis and Carmella Palmer, a US Army veteran of WWII, dangerously serving as a radioman with the Fighting 69th, cross Central Europe and the Rhineland.
H was a manager for Mohawk Paper Co. in Cohoes for many years, before retirement.
Music was a large part of his life, Playing guitar and a number of other instruments, played on local TV channel WRGB with the group Martha and the Playboys.
A faithful communicant of All Saints on the Hudson Church, and the Holy Name Society, Bunny enjoyed a good laugh, was always ready with a joke, and enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
His wife of 72 years, Rose Ferradino Palmer died in 2015.
Survivors include his daughter Carmel Musolff of Saratoga Springs, grandchildren: Patrick (Kathleen) Gautier of Henderson, Co and Renee Fred of Saratoga Springs, great grandchildren: Anthony, Rebecca, Bernadette, David and Veronica. Also his sister Stella “Miggie” Mormile of Mechanicville, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his wife, predeceased by son-in-law George Musolff, sisters Madeline Marra and Fay Aufiero and brothers Joseph, Talisman, Belmar and Norman Palmer.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 AM at All Saints on the Hudson North Church (St. Peter’s) 895 Hudson Ave, Stillwater. Burial with military honors to follow at Saratoga National cemetery.
Calling hours at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Wednesday from 3-6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to All Saints on Hudson Church Endowment Fund, in memory of Primar “Bunny” Palmer.
