Condolence: Please except our sincerest condolences. Met him when I started working at Leonard Hospital in 1969 and was our Dr. for years. Haven't met anyone like him since. He was one of a kind ! Sincerely, Charles and Jackie Primeau.

Condolence: My heart goes out to his family, may God be with each of you. Dr Sgambati was my "doctor" for my whole life. I always admired him, for He always treated the person, not just the disease. He did not simply delay the death of the patient, but increased the quality of life for all that lived in the Meachanicville area. Dr "Patch" Adams had nothing on my doc. God Bless you Dr Sgambati.

Condolence: Dear Sgambati family,
Dr. Sgambati will live eternally for all the care he selflessly gave. He was a dedicated example for surgery, medicine and kindness. Dr.(s) Sgambati Sr. and Jr. we're my family doctors getting me through countless health issues. One in particular stands in my mind forever. He saved my life. In the stress of that illness he began to teach me how the organs of the body functioned and encouraged me to read the physiology in his text book and review the anatomy. He checked in with my on my high school reports on this teaching me more through discussion. He is the reason I became a Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. I teach every day and use his approach of coping through caring and inquiry teaching nurses and physicians. He knew us as people and families and treated each patient as a loyal friend. His legacy will live on. Thank you to Mrs. Sgambati for sharing him.
