STILLWATER - Anna Mae (Ann) Herrick, 83, of Ferry Lane, died Wednesday, October 11, at Saratoga Hospital, following a brief illness. Born on October 17, 1933, daughter of Ralph and Sarah Kirtpatrick Hill, she was a graduate of Lake George High School.
Anna owned and operated the Yappi Yard Dog Kennel out of her home for many years. She was a former member of the North Queensbury Rescue Squad. She loved her miniature schnauzers and enjoyed the breeding and raising of them.
She was predeceased by her husband James Burton Herrick, Jr. in 1999 as well as siblings George, Ralph, Robert and Lyle Hill and Margaret Denton.
Survivors include her children George(Janis) LeBlanc of MD, Michael(Karen) LeBlanc of Glens Falls, Cynthia(Michael) VanDewerker of Mechanicville, Saralee(The Late Robert) Bublak of Fort Edward, Jamie “Brett”(Dawn) Herrick of Stillwater, Dawn(Mike Ventre) Herrick, James “Buddy” (Denise) Herrick, Thomas(Becky) Herrick, Christopher Herrick, Lynn Herrick and Shawna(Kevin) Herrick-Greene, 28 grand, 27 great grand and 1 great great grandchild, her sister Florence Hayes and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 12:30-2:30PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. A Funeral Home Service will start at 2:30PM with burial to follow in Hudson View Cemetery.
