Obituary for Estelle Larios (Perentesis)

MECHANICVILLE - Mrs. Estelle Larios, 88, former resident of Plattsburgh, died Saturday evening, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Sparta, Greece, daughter of the late George and Panayiota Perentesis, she and her brother immigrated to America in 1948, settling in Mount Vernon, NY.
She met and was married to Peter E. Larios, for 46 years until his death in 1996.
A homemaker who was a self employed seamstress, Estelle and Peter, who owned Gus' Red Hots Restaurant, raised their family in Plattsburgh. Upon their retirement, they moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida and enjoyed traveling to Greece and several European countries. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. An avid flower and vegetable gardener, she lived in Florida for a number of years, and attended St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Tarpon Springs, singing in the church choir.
She was also a faithful member of St. Basil’s Greek Orthodox Church of Troy.
Survivors include her adoring daughters Aspasia and John Lambrinos of Plattsburgh , Paula and Ted Cervini of Mechanicville, faithful son Dr. Ernest Larios of Wading River, Long Island, daughter-in-law Olga Larios, beloved grandchildren Nicholas and Stacy Lambrinos, Maria and Samet Bekdes, Teddy and Leslie Cervini, Christina (Nina) Cervini, Anastasia (John) and Peter Larios, and great grandchildren Kolton and Aryanna, Giuliana and Theodore The Fifth. Also brother Peter (Paula) Perentesis of Palm Harbor, Fla and sister-in-law Panayota “Pat” Larios of Niskayuna, along with nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral will be held on Monday, August 14th at 10 AM at St. Basil’s Greek Orthodox Church, 909 River St., Troy. Church will be open for a short visitation from 9 AM Monday until start of Funeral Service.
Calling hours for family and friends on Sunday from 3-6 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.
Interment to follow Monday afternoon in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to either St. Basil’s Church or Alzheimer’s Assoc, in loving memory of Estelle Larios.
