Condolence: So many wonderful memories with Joe going back to early childhood; running through the sprinklers with our siblings, the two of us walking downtown every Sunday to watch a "cowboy" movie together and the almost daily good family times. I will remember our failed scheme to exchange (rearrange) some of our siblings to make the perfect family for the two of us.
Joe was a great son, brother, cousin and then uncle. He was always a good friend to everyone. Thankfully, Joe finally found Helene, the love of his life, and had the chance to be a devoted husband and loving father. Everyone loved Joe and will miss him. Our special prayers go to Helene and the rest of the family.

Condolence From: Steven Smith
Condolence: My condolences on the loss of Joe. Joe was my first Client out of University in 1985, when he worked for the NYSDOT. We became friends when he moved to the Consultant side and we had the opportunity to work together. Golf with Joe, Tom Clancy and Gary Neuwerth was an annual event that was full of laughs and a lot of bad golf. I always appreciated the warm nature of Joe and his infectious laugh and good humor. I very much respected Joe as an engineer, but more so for his strength and positive approach to his illnesses these past few years. Joe was a sincere and caring person who I will greatly miss. Joe and his family are in my thoughts & prayers. Steve Smith

Condolence: I met Joe in 1980 when I started working for DOT in the Design Bureau. He and I carpooled from Saratoga, along with Lou Cocozzo, Bill McCarty, and Mary Ann McCarty. Became good friends with all and played a lot of golf with Joe. Joe was a special person who was well liked by all.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to all.
