Lettabelle Offenmuller (Schultz)
MECHANICVILLE - Mrs. Lettabelle Offenmuller, 94, of Mid-Rise Apts., died Sunday morning, Oct. 16th at Saratoga Care, Ballston Spa, after a brief illness.
Born in Watertown, NY, Sept 10, 1922, Lettabelle, better known as “Letta”,was a nurse’s aide for many years, for 32 years at House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where she would often was requested by the surgical staff to assist in the operating room. She later was at Ellis Hospital for a year and lastly at the Albany Veteran’s Hospital for 14 years before retiring.
An old time member of the Grange, where she loved to dance, Letta was a great spirited woman, with a happy go lucky attitude, loved the company of family and friends, and always displayed her trademark “twinkle of the eye” to all who knew her.
Letta was a faithful active member of St. Luke’s on the Hill Episcopal Church.
Sadly she was predeceased by husbands Robert Parker and William Offenmuller, along with two children Donna Serbalik and Dennis Parker and a sister Kay Bevins.
Survivors include her son Dale Parker of Mechanicville, grandchildren: Danielle Simpson, Michelle Malone, Melissa Noble, Yvonne Hirsch, Yvette and David Thompson and Darlene Carenza, along with many great grandchildren, neighbors and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Noon at St. Luke’s on the Hill Church, 41 McBride Road, Mechanicville, with burial in Hudson View Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Church on Wednesday morning from 10 AM - Noon.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Letta’s memory to St. Luke’s on the Hill building fund.
