Obituary for Judith A. Thompson (Sweeney)

BALLSTON SPA - Judith A. Thompson, 74, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jesse Butcher Sweeney.
A Shenendehowa graduate, Judy worked as a quality inspector for Race Mark in Malta until recently retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Thompson in 2008 as well as siblings Dale Coreno, Thomas, Phillip and Timothy Sweeney.
Survivors include her beloved daughter Joann(James) Orologio of Ballston Spa, grandsons Jonathan and Andrew Orologio and great granddaughter Gia as well as her brother George(Leona) Sweeney and her faithful canine friend “Annie”.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-5PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So Main St., Mechanicville, NY 12118. A funeral service will be Monday morning at 10AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in East Line Cemetery, Malta. In lieu of flowers, Judy would have strongly requested that donations be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 in her memory.
