Obituary for Daniel M. O'Keefe

Daniel M. O’Keefe, 47, of Micklas St., Riverside, died at home, Tuesday, Aug. 26th, suddenly of natural causes.
Born in Troy, October 28, 1966, son of Patricia Patenaude O’Keefe Morrison of Mechanicville and the late Robert W. O’Keefe, Sr.
A 1985 graduate of Mechanicville High School, Dan was a medical coder with St. Clare’s and later Ellis Hospital, Schenectady for over 17 years.
An avid fisherman, Dan enjoyed stream fishing in the Battenkil and Hoosic Rivers.
A drummer most of his life, Dan played with the former Marty Wendell Band, a country music group for a number of years.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his siblings: Robert and Carrie O’Keefe, Jr. of Issaquah, Wa., Patrick “Packy” and Dima O’Keefe of Hoboken, NJ and Kim Marie O’Keefe of Aurora, Co. Also nieces and nephews Graham, Casey, Nicholas and Nikolina O’Keefe, along with a large number of Patenaude family aunts/uncles, cousins and their families.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept 2nd at 10AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Monday (Labor Day) from 3-5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Arvin Hart Fire Dept. PO Box 288, Stillwater, NY 1217.
