Obituary for Thomas F. Ennis Jr.

MECHANICVILLE – Thomas F. Ennis, Jr., 66, of Davenport Estates, died Sunday evening, June 12th, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy, after an illness.
Born and grew up and educated in Albany, son of the late Thomas F. and Ruth Ennis, Sr.
Tom was a proud US Army veteran, his service time cut short by training injuries.
For a number of years, Tom was a tractor trailer driver for lastly Fed Ex in Albany and before that, North American Van Lines. Earlier, he was a tool and die maker for Simmons Tool Co of Menands.
A sportsman, tom enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a history and military buff, loved to read and spent time with model trains. He was a former member of St. Anne’s Church of Albany.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Yates Denny, his brother John F. Ennis of Mechanicville, step-children: Melissa Madigan and Rebecca Geertgens, grandchildren Sarah and Hannah Geertgens, a niece Jenalle Ennis along with other nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 9:30 AM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial with military honors at the Saratoga National Cemetery at 11 AM.

Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Assoc. (SNCHGA), 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, 12871 in memory of
Tom Ennis, Jr.
