Mechanicville- Mrs. Mary L. Ormsby, 82, of Park Ave, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, August 7, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 23, 1930 in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Albina Domey Gatzendorfer. She was a graduate of Cohoes High School and later moved to Mechanicville in 1981. She worked in the custodial staff for over 21 years at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy. Her favorite hobby was to cook for her large family, but most of all she always put her family first, loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with her brothers and their families. Sadly she was predeceased by her husbands, Bernard Roy and Thomas Ormsby, daughter Cheryl Zagata and her step-brother Charles Borden Survivors include her children, Bernard J. Roy of Mechanicville, Loreen (Donald) Watrobski of Mechanicville, Christine (Tim) Hipwell of Mechanicville, Karen Jourdanais Roy of Waterford, Donald (Mavourneen) Roy of Troy, Kara (James) Edwards of Latham, and her significant other, Edwin H. Noyes Jr.. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM at All Saints of the Hudson South Church (St. Paul’s), 121 No Main St, Mechanicville with burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main St, Mechanicville on Thursday evening from 4-7 PM.
