James, 88, of Hemstreet Park, beloved and cherished Mom and Babu, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd at Ellis Hospital, in the loving company of her daughters. Born in Troy, March 12, 1925, she was the widow of Howard C. James, who she had been married to for 52 years, at the time of his death in 2002. They were each others favorite polka partners and they are now dancing together once again. Survivors include her two daughters: Lynne and husband Doug Roberts of Albany and Tenley Schaperjahn of Fulton, NY, two adored grandchildren: Kelley Schaperjahn of Oregon and Douglas James Roberts of Albany. Also step-daughters Kristy Roberts McCauslin and family and Michelle Roberts St. Jock and family, also two sisters. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial in the Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
