ROUND LAKE - John R. Buchanan, 88, of Janes Ave, died Friday, February 9 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Mechanicville on December 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Ruth Buchanan.

John enjoyed working around his home, particularly in his garden, tending to his vegetables, and most notably his Gladiolas and Tulips. He was also an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Doris A. Smith Buchanan, his son John T. Buchanan Sr of Ballston Lake, grandsons John Jr. and Christopher(Jodie) Buchanan, great grandsons Mason and Kade and his daughter in law Bonny Klebeck as well as several nieces and nephews.
